Brita d’Agostino is an interdisciplinary artist and design educator whose art and design practice incorporates a variety of media including collage, digital photography, installation, interactive computer-based work, and critical discourse. She received her B.A. in Art from Tyler School of Art, Temple University and her M.F.A. in Imaging and Digital Arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Daemen College in Amherst, NY. Prior to her appointment at Daemen, she worked as an Interactive Designer for WIRED Magazine in San Francisco. She has exhibited her artwork in venues that include the Aperture Foundation, The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles (MOCA), SF Camerawork, and the Houston Center for Photography. She presented her research in digital art and design at the annual College Art Association (CAA) conference in 2016, and will present research on a panel in 2017 at the International Conference of Word & Image Studies, University of Lausanne, Switzerland. She also serves as a member of the board and leader of the education committee for the American Advertising Federation of Buffalo.
