Brita d’Agostino is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and educator whose practice incorporates a variety of media including collage, digital photography, installation, interactive computer-based work, and critical discourse. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at New Mexico State University (NMSU). Prior to her teaching appointment at NMSU, she served as an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Daemen College in Amherst, New York from 2013-2017, and worked in the publishing industry for the award-winning publication Wired Magazine from 2007-2013. In addition to her teaching and industry experience, she has exhibited her artwork in venues that include Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center, the Aperture Foundation, and The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles (MOCA). She has also presented her critical writing on digital artist books at the College Art Association (CAA) annual conference in 2016, and the International Association of Word and Image Studies conference in 2017. She received her MFA in Imaging and Digital Arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2007.
